__ CONCEPT__:

- The
**second law of refraction**: It defines as the ratio of the sine of the angle of incidence and the sine of the angle of refraction is always constant- The
**second law of refraction**is also known as**Snell's Law**.

- The

**\(n_1sinθ_1 = n_2sinθ _2\)**

Where n1 is the incident refractive index, n2 is the refracted refractive index, where sinθ_{1} is the angle of incidence, and sinθ2 is the angle of refraction.

__ EXPLANATION__:

From the above, the ratio of n_{1}/n_{2 }is constant so the ratio of sinθ1 /sinθ_{2} will also remain **constant.**

- So we can say that the
**Second Law of refraction**is known as the**Snell law.**
